2 arrested after nearly 130 grams of meth found in Pike County

BELFRY, Ky. – Two men are facing charges after authorities say nearly 130 grams of methamphetamine was located in Pike County.

According to the Kentucky State Police, troopers conducted a traffic stop on Wednesday, Aug. 26 in Pike County. Authorities say they had developed information indicating a vehicle had been involved in transporting illegal drugs into the area.

Troopers say during the stop, they found around 130 grams of suspected methamphetamine in a vehicle.

Authorities say the driver, identified as 42-year-old Delbert Chambers of Ohio, and a passenger, identified as 45-year-old Terrell Wright of Ohio, were both arrested and transported to the Pike County Detention Center.

According to troopers, upon arrival at the jail, they discovered Chambers possessed around 60 grams of suspected fentanyl and 10 suspected MDMA tablets.

Chambers faces charges of trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking in a controlled substance (fentanyl), trafficking in a controlled substance (LSD), promoting contraband and a speed related traffic violation.

Wright was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and failure to wear seat belts.
