WKU student accused of selling THC cartridges on campus

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A 19-year-old was arrested on the campus of Western Kentucky University and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school.

According to an arrest citation, on Thursday, Kameron Cunningham of Pembroke, Ky., took possession of a United States Postal Service package containing approximately 85 THC vape cartridges. THC is the psychoactive component in marijuana.

When approached by law enforcement officers, the arrest citation states that Cunningham told detectives he had placed the parcel in a friend’s dorm room.

Authorities recovered the package along with drug paraphernalia items and a small amount of marijuana that Cunningham stated was his, according to the citation.

Authorities said Cunningham told them he sold the THC cartridges to acquaintances on campus.

Cunningham was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
