GLASGOW, Ky. – An 18-year-old has been formally charged following an October crash that claimed the lives of three teens in Glasgow.

According to court records, 18-year-old Asa Howard of Edmonton has been indicted on three counts of murder, three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and one count of first-degree assault.

This follows a warrant of arrest on indictment that was issued on Dec. 17, court records say.

The crash reportedly took place on the night of Friday, Oct. 17. Authorities say Howard was driving on North Jackson Highway through the intersection of Veterans Outer Loop when his vehicle collided with another car.

After the crash, authorities say 18-year-old Emily Corbin of Hart County, a 14-year-old from Bowling Green and a 17-year-old from Edmonton were all pronounced dead at the scene.

Major Terry Flatt with the Glasgow Police Department stated in October that a preliminary investigation indicates alcohol was a factor in the crash.

Howard remains at the Barren County Detention Center on a $750,000 cash bond.

He is scheduled for arraignment on Dec. 29 at 10 a.m., according to court records.
