UPDATE: Two 18-year-olds charged with rape on University of Kentucky campus

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Two 18-year-olds have been arrested on rape charges in connection with a reported case on University of Kentucky’s campus.
According to a uniform citation, a complaint warrant was served on March 3, arresting 18-year-old Angus Thompson of Louisville on a first-degree rape charge.
A criminal complaint states UK police officers were dispatched Feb. 22 to speak to a victim regarding “an act of rape and strangulation” that had occurred on UK’s campus on Feb. 18.
The criminal complaint further states the victim told police that Thompson “engaged in forcible sexual intercourse with her while she was also being subjected to forcible sexual intercourse from a co-offender.”
According to the criminal complaint, the victim stated the co-offender, identified by the victim as 18-year-old Addison Adkins of Lexington, caused bruising to her neck and other areas of her body.
Adkins was arrested the same day at Thompson on charges of first-degree rape and second-degree strangulation.
The complaint states Thompson stated to police what had taken place and that it was “probably scary” for the victim. A separate complaint states a co-offender described Adkins’ behavior as “aggressive and hypersexual.”
Both Adkins and Thompson have since been released from incarceration on a $25,000 cash bond, according to court records.
