15-year-old arrested, charged in Louisville murder case

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A 15-year-old has been taken into custody in connection with a murder case in Louisville.

According to the Louisville Metro Police Department, the agency’s homicide unit has arrested and charged a 15-year-old female with murder (complicity) and first-degree robbery (complicity) in connection with a reported shooting that took place in the 3000 block of Fordhaven Road around 4:15 p.m. on Dec. 20.

Police say upon arrival, they located a vehicle in a ditch, along with a male subject outside of the vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.

Officers and EMS personnel attempted life-saving measures, police say. However, officers say efforts were unsuccessful, and the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say preliminary information indicated a large crowd was present at the time of the incident.
