100 turkeys given to change lives at ShakeRag Barbershop

On Tuesday night, people came to the ShakeRag Barbershop for a haircut.

However, several others from the community came to receive a blessing.

Kenan Mujkanovic, the founder and CEO of Young Visionaries Foundation, held his Fifth annual turkey giveaway.

By the end of the night, Mujkanovic had given away 100 turkeys.

The giveaway began at 5 p.m., but the turkeys were given away in no less than 15 minutes.

The ShakeRag barbershop offered to host the giveaway, with barber and pastor Chris Page leading the night in prayer.

Warren County Public schools also contributed boxes of canned foods to give away as well.

In the last three years, Mujkanovic has served turkeys to people in Hobson Grove, Parker Bennett and Lee Pointe Apartments.

He started the Young Visionaries Foundation in 2014 when he was 16 years old.

Ever since then, he’s credited God for what he’s achieved.

However, Mujkanovic doesn’t do any of this for the recognition.

Instead, he said he aspires to set an example for others whether it be the youth or adults.

No matter the age, anyone can change a person’s life, Mujkanovic said.
