1 sustains minor injuries in Barren River water rescue

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – Several agencies responded to a water rescue in Allen County last month.

According to a release, Kentucky Fish and Wildlife 4th District Game Wardens responded to a report of a capsized boat on the Barren River Jan. 31. The report also stated that one person occupied the boat.

Allen County Fire and Rescue rescued the person, who sustained minor injuries.

KYFW utilized thermal drone technology to locate the boat and secure it.

Cedar Springs Volunteer Fire Department, Allen County Emergency Management, Allen County EMS, Allen County Sheriff’s Office, and the Scottsville Fire Department assisted Kentucky Fish and Wildlife with the rescue.
