1 flown after crash involving 2 tractor-trailers in Christian County

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. – One person has been flown for treatment after a crash involving two tractor-trailers on Wednesday in Christian County, authorities say.
According to a social media post by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, at 1:10 p.m., deputies were called regarding a crash on Interstate 24 involving two tractor-trailers at the 77-mile marker eastbound.
Authorities say a tractor-trailer collided with the back of another tractor-trailer that was stopped on the interstate, trapping one driver inside of his truck.
The driver was extricated from his vehicle and flown to a Nashville hospital due to severe injuries, deputies say.
Due to a crash investigation, traffic may experience delays in the area. As of 1:30 p.m., the sheriff’s office shared an image of traffic backed up in this portion of the interstate.
