1 dead in fatal I65 crash in Hardin County

HARDIN COUNTY – The Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal collision in Hardin County.
According to a release, KSP Post 4 responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at the 103-mile marker on Interstate 65 northbound near Lebanon Junction, Monday morning.
KSP says a previous crash near the 106-mile marker slowed traffic.
According to the investigation, a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Drew Cookenmaster, of Hodgenville, struck the rear of a northbound tractor-trailer driven by 52-year-old Shakisha Brewington, of Schertz, Texas.
Cookenmaster was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hard County Coroner.
Brewington was not injured.
KSP says the northbound lanes of I65 at the Joe Prather Exit were closed for approximately three hours for accident reconstruction.
The investigation is ongoing.
