1 dead in fatal Bullitt County collision

SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal collision in Bullitt County.

According to a release, KSP Post 4 troopers responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of KY 44 East and Watergate Drive near Mount Washington Saturday evening.

KSP’s investigation indicates that a truck, driven by a juvenile, was traveling westbound on KY 44 East when the passenger-side tires dropped off the right side of the roadway and onto a steep shoulder.

It is believed that the juvenile overcorrected the vehicle, causing it to cross the centerline into the eastbound lane, hitting an SUV head-on.

The truck traveled down a small embankment, where it overturned.

The driver of the SUV, 27-year-old Sarah Weisman, of Shepherdsville, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The juvenile driver was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
