1 dead in fatal Boyle County crash

PARKSVILLE, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal crash in Boyle County.

According to a release, KSP Post 7 – Richmond responded to a two-vehicle collision on Lebanon Road near the intersection of Alum Springs Road in Boyle County Friday morning.

KSP’s initial investigation shows that an SUV driven by 41-year-old Frankie Simpson, of Parksville, was traveling westbound on Lebanon Road when it crossed the center line and crashed into another SUV driven by 44-year-old Aric Miejnek.

Simpson was transported to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center for treatment. He later died at the hospital.

Miejnek sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
