1 dead after rollover crash in Barren County

CAVE CITY, Ky. – One person has died following a rollover crash in Barren County Saturday.

According to the Kentucky State Police, troopers received a call just before 10 a.m. for a single-vehicle collision.

Troopers arrived on scene at the 54.9 mile marker on Interstate 65.

During a preliminary investigation, troopers say they learned a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by William Rutledge, 59, of Etoile, was traveling northbound on I-65. Rutledge’s vehicle went off the roadway to the right, authorities say, causing the vehicle to overturn.

Rutledge was pronounced dead at the scene by the Barren County coroner.

The investigation is ongoing.
