1 charged after alligators found in Kentucky basement

MOUNT WASHINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky Fish and Wildlife is sharing one call that presented an unusual situation.
According to Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Law Enforcement, on Feb. 11, the Mount Washington Police Department contacted a fish and wildlife warden regarding a report of an individual potentially possessing an alligator.
Authorities say they responded to the residence located in Bullitt County.
When asked about an alligator, authorities say the individual escorted officers to a basement, where two alligators and a caiman were located.
The individual was charged with three counts of propagation and holding of wildlife without a permit.
