Vote to decide on new Kentucky high school graduation requirements
Soon, it might be a little tougher for Kentucky high schoolers to receive their diploma.
The Kentucky Board of Education is scheduled to vote this week on new minimum high school graduation requirements.
The proposed requirements would be a demonstration of college or career readiness for high school freshmen starting next fall.
The requirements would also include new math and reading exams, which would become a requirement for students entering ninth grade in 2020.
The vote is scheduled to take place on Wednesday.
