Update: eminent domain not imminent for Horse Cave residents

An update on a story we first told you about back in May out of Horse Cave. 

Multiple road projects were being considered to ease traffic congestion in Horse Cave, and one of those five options would have forced several homeowners to move out of their homes, through eminent domain. 

Tonight those homeowners no longer have to worry because the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has selected another option. An email went out to homeowners today alerting them of the news. 

The option selected will cost nearly 10 million dollars and will create a two-lane bypass from Church Avenue to US 31 West with bridges over the railroad. It’s still unclear as to when construction will begin.
