Riverfront Park gets fresh look in Bowling Green
Bowling Green’s riverfront is getting a new look.
Work began earlier this week to remove trees and undergrowth from an area that sits adjacent to the riverwalk at Riverfront Park.
Mayor Bruce Wilkerson tells WNKY the vegetation obstructed the view of the river and was overgrown.
Wilkerson says the purpose of Riverfront Park is to showcase the Barren River and with the work that’s been done, walkers, joggers, and bicyclists can now see it better than ever.
