Pair of Illinois teens lead police on high-speed pursuit

Two teenagers from Illinois are accused of leading police on a pursuit through two counties, reaching speeds in excess of 150 miles-per-hour.

According to the arrest report, around 10:30 Sunday evening, a Kentucky State Police trooper observed a 2019 Dodge Challenger traveling over 90 miles-per-hour past mile marker 31 in Bowling Green.

The trooper attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but says the vehicle sped away, eventually clocked at 152 miles-per-hour before exiting the Cumberland Parkway and turning on the outer-loop.

The report states multiple other agencies were called in to assist, and the vehicle was found abandoned at a Glasgow city landfill and later discovered, reported stolen out of Indiana.

Following a Cave City Police K-9 search, 19-year-old Cedric Cummins and 19-year-old Malachi Ratliff were found at the Quality Inn in Glasgow with the key fob nearby and a small baggie of marijuana on Cummins.

Both teens are lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail on a slew of charges.
