Man accused of drug charges after traffic stop

A traffic stop results in the arrest of a 36-year-old man in Glasgow.

Police say Travis Turner was pulled over on Burkesville road for not having his rear license plate illuminated. Officers report he was sweating profusely and acting nervous. A K-9 was called to the scene and detected an odor of narcotics coming from the vehicle. Police say they found meth and a butterfly knife inside one of Turner’s pockets. Officers also say they located a handgun under the driver’s seat.

Turner is facing a number of different traffic, drug and gun charges.
