Lily May Bourbon Company celebrates grand opening with ribbon cutting

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Lily May Bourbon Company officially opened its Bowling Green tasting location Tuesday morning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new home on College Street.

The bar and restaurant is known for its smooth, approachable house bourbon, described by the company as offering notes of caramel, toffee and honey. But owner Chad Humphrey says Lily May aims to be more than a bourbon destination.

“The main thing is, if they try the bourbon, they will enjoy it,” Humphrey said. “But also we’re open for lunch here in downtown Bowling Green. A lot of places aren’t open for lunch, and we want to stress that. We are open Tuesday through Saturday, and we’re kid-friendly. We have a great menu.”

Humphrey says the space is designed to be welcoming for all ages — whether guests are stopping in for a meal, a drink, or an event.

“Bring the kids, all ages,” he said. “Once you try the food, you’ll be back. Weekends and evenings have been great, especially with events at SKyPAC. It’s a great place to stop in for dinner before the show and then drinks afterward.”

Along with its food and bourbon offerings, Lily May features a private event area that can accommodate parties of various sizes – making it as a flexible venue for date nights or work events.

Lily May Bourbon Company is located at 635 College St., next to the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center.
