Kentucky Center for Statistics talks to BG Area Chamber of Commerce
This afternoon, the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the Kentucky Center for Statistics, an organization that presented a state briefing specifically planned for and catered to the Bowling Green area.
The purpose of the briefing was to provide an overview of what the Kentucky Center for Statistics does, highlighting several of the key reports they produced. There was a special emphasis on education, workforce, health policy, and economic development.
Several members of the Bowling Green community took time out of their afternoon to attend the three-hour long presentation.
In KY Stats high school feedback report, their findings showed that more than half of the class of 2016 enrolled in a public or independent post-secondary institution in Kentucky the semester following graduation. Additionally, one in four graduates from the class of 2010 completed an associate’s degree or higher with six years of graduation.
The center’s executive director Kate Akers said these types of reports help them understand what is or isn’t working inside these local classrooms.
