Republican Karrin Taylor Robson says she won’t run for Sinema’s Senate seat in Arizona

PHOENIX (AP) — Businessperson Karrin Taylor Robson says she won’t run for the Arizona Senate seat now held by independent Kyrsten Sinema. Robson ran for governor last year but lost the GOP primary to Kari Lake, a Donald Trump ally who went on to lose the general election to Democrat Katie Hobbs. Robson was seen at the likeliest establishment candidate to run for Sinema’s seat. Lake said this week that she is considering a Senate run, but traditional Republicans worry that she wouldn’t be able to win a general election. Sinema left the Democratic Party last year and hasn’t said yet whether she will seek a second term.
