Protests continue in NYC amid lingering tensions over curfew

NEW YORK (AP) — Protests over the death of George Floyd are continuing in New York City as thousands take to the streets and parks to protest police brutality as the city continued to enforce an 8 p.m. curfew that has created tensions between protesters and police. Thousands of people crossed the Brooklyn Bridge into lower Manhattan, where other groups numbering in the hundreds to thousands marched or gathered. Police also announced charges Saturday against a man who allegedly stabbed an officer in the neck in Brooklyn Wednesday night.
