Matt Williams back managing, with South Korean team
FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) — Matt Williams is running a team again, and just being able to talk with his players is a challenge. He is the manager of South Korea’s Kia Tigers. The 54-year-old was a World Series champion with the 2001 Arizona Diamondbacks and was the 2014 NL Manager of the Year with the Washington Nationals. He played 17 big league seasons, hitting 378 homers. He spent the last two seasons as the third-base coach for the Oakland Athletics.
