Deep receiver class faces high hopes for immediate impact

Never has there been as tantalizing a wide receiver class as the one highlighting the NFL draft. Nor has a group of rookie receivers ever faced such high expectations for making an immediate impact. The old model of slowly working receivers into offenses has given way to NFL teams finding ways to capitalize on their rookie receivers’ skill sets they bring from the up-tempo college game. Also feeding this surge in wide receiver talent are the wide-open offenses being run in both high schools and colleges. As many as six of them are expected to go in the first round.
