Hart County man pleads guilty to placing broken glass in styrofoam cups

A former Hart County manufacturing employee, accused of placing broken glass in styrofoam drinking cups, has pleaded guilty.

Waylon Horton now faces up to 10 years in prison, and a fine of up to $250,000.

In 2016, on two separate occasions, Horton placed broken glass in cups that were then shipped to fast food restaurants. Glass pieces were found in cups at three different restaurants in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. 

Horton will be sentenced on October 11th in Bowling Green.
