Grant given to build new water line in Hart County
A 214-thousand-dollar grant will help deliver water service to several households.
The grant is coming from the Appalachian Regional Commission.
The money will be used to build 4,500 feet of water line along Quarry Road.
Ten households that currently use well water will now be connected.
The Green River Valley Water District, which serves the area, along with the Hart County Fiscal Court, have announced plans to match the grant with in-kind contributions of personnel and equipment.
