Escape from Azkaban

Today, dozens of Glasgow residents took the trip onto platform 9 and three-quarters right into the library.

Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library transformed into the wizardly world of Harry Potter escape-room style. As part of the summer reading program, groups enter into the platform where they learned they’ve been locked in the professor’s office for detention and they have 30 minutes to escape or wind up like the last student, who disappeared never to be seen again.

Using clues and puzzles to escape, organizers say this helps keep minds fresh and sharp.

The brave wizards ranged from toddlers to Seniors.

This is the first year the library has done an escape room, but they say after this year’s magical success it won’t be the last.
