Edmonton teen charged with murder in crash that killed 3 teens in Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky. – An Edmonton teen is charged with murder following a fatal crash in Glasgow.
Major Terry Flatt says a warrant was issued for the arrest of Asa R. Howard, 18, of Edmonton, on Friday.
The arrest warrant was obtained following an investigation into a fatal crash that occurred in Glasgow on October 17, which left three teenagers dead.
Flatt says the department’s investigation indicates that Howard was driving at a high rate of speed on North Jackson Highway and failed to stop at an intersection with Veterans Outer Loop.
Police say Howard’s vehicle struck another vehicle.
Flatt says Howard fled the crash scene on foot before returning.
Officers at the scene say Howard was under the influence of an intoxicating substance.
The Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office arrested Howard on Saturday.
Howard is charged with three counts of murder, first-degree assault, and three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
The investigation is ongoing.
