Bowling Green man accused of possessing more than 5 pounds of marijuana

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A traffic stop leads to the arrest of a Bowling Green man, after officers say they located several pounds of marijuana in his possession.

According to an arrest report, Bowling Green police pulled over Quenton Smith, 27, who was traveling southbound on Interstate 65, on an allegation that he did not having his rear license plate illuminated.

According to the arrest report, the officer noticed two bags containing marijuana on the passenger’s seat and later located several more bags in Smith’s trunk, along with dozens of cannabis gummies, THC candy, a digital scale and shrink wrap.

Police later went to Smith’s home, where they say located several mason jars of marijuana in his room.

Altogether, police say they seized over 5.243 pounds of marijuana.

Smith was charged with trafficking in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
