Bowling Green City Commissioners approve first reading of budget
City commissioners approved the first reading of the 125 million dollar budget at their Tuesday afternoon meeting.
For the eleventh consecutive year, residents won’t be seeing any sort of increase in their taxes. Of that 125 million dollars, 29.6 million will be used for capital improvement projects, including a 3.1 million dollar fire station on lovers lane.
The mayor says he’s confident the budget will pass its second reading on June 19th.
