Bowling Green, KY -

A Bowling Green man is charged with three counts of third-degree assault on a corrections officer after being picked up for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

The arrest report states Brian Gibbs, 35, was screaming outside of a Fairview Avenue apartment complex Wednesday night in just underwear and a t-shirt.

When asked if he was under the influence, the report states he told officers he had taken some meth by mouth earlier.

Jailer Stephen Harmon says, once in custody, while being cleared at the Medical Center at Bowling Green, Gibbs began fighting two deputies.

The report states, on the way back to the Warren County Regional Jail, while restrained, he became out of control, fighting three deputies to the point they had to stop the van in the middle of the road.

The report goes on to say Gibbs was tased but the altercation continued all the way back to jail.

He’s currently being held on a $6,000 bond.
