A local baseball diamond is getting a major upgrade.
The Bowling Green Hot Rods have started construction this week on a new playing surface inside of Bowling Green Ball Park.
The defending champions deserve the best turf to play on, and they'll have just that after the 260-thousand-dollar project is all said and done.
Recently, new Hot Rods Owner Jack Blackstock sat down with WNKY to talk about the need for a new playing surface. He also mentioned how this is the first of several changes he hopes to bring to the ballpark.
The field is expected to be ready for the start of the 2019 season.
