Allen County, KY -

Investigators in Allen County say a student brought a gun to school on Monday.

According to a release sent to parents and later posted online, Allen County Schools Superintendent, Randall Jackson, says the incident happened at the Allen County Learning Center.

Assistant Superintendent of Operations, Brian Carter, tells WNKY that a former student had some information on the student with the gun and immediately alerted school officials.

The gun was confiscated, and according to the release, the student did not bring the gun to school with the intention of harming anyone.

The school resource officer took the student into custody without incident.

School district officials would like to remind everyone that if you see something, say something.
