Country ham auctioned off for 2.8 million at Kentucky State Fair

Louisville, KY -

An astronomical gastronomical delight goes for nearly three-million dollars.

A country ham was sold for two-point-eight million in an auction, at the Kentucky State Fair in Louisville today.

Hogwash you say? It's true, and it's nothing to snort at.

The ham auction is one of the state fair's oldest, and most delicious traditions took place today to help raise money for charity.

The winners, squealing with delight, get a say in where the money goes. A bank and a family shared the win this year.
