Marshall County, KY -

Marshall County High School begins the new year with added security measures.

The district has installed 12 metal detectors in three different schools. Eight of those metal detectors are at the high school while the two middle schools each have two.

This comes less than seven months since two teens were shot and killed when Gabriel Parker allegedly opened fire in the school's commons area.
