Louisville Uber driver dies following fight with passenger

Louisville, KY -

An Uber driver has died following an argument between him and a passenger. 

According to police, the fight took place on Saturday outside of the Courtyard Marriott on Blairwood Road.

According to WAVE 3 News, the driver, Michael Wallace, died a few days later, following the altercation. Wallace had been an Uber driver for three years, and he leaves behind three children.

Police did not share what the fight was about, however, Wallace's fiance said it was over the price of the ride. Officers are waiting for Wallace's cause of death before deciding whether or not to press charges. 

WAVE 3 reached out to Uber for comment, but have not heard back.
