Kentuckians Could Lose Right To Free Attorneys

Posted: Updated:
Kentucky -

Kentucky could become the third state to eliminate funding for programs that help those with low-income through certain legal proceedings. This, such as child custody and eviction. The Senate voted to eliminate funding for the Kentucky access to justice commission. Which supports legal-aid groups. These groups currently provide legal services for poor people in non-criminal cases, when they're guaranteed the right to an attorney.
