Kentucky Residents Stepping Up to Aid Hurricane Victims

Posted: Updated:
Bowling Green, KY -

Just as with Hurricane Harvey, Kentucky residents are heading south to help fellow Americans.

Local contractors are heading south today to help power companies prepare for restoration efforts as Hurricane Irma closes in on Florida.

Nearly 190 LG & E and KU employees and line technicians left from LG&E’s operation center this morning.

When they get to Florida they’ll join Duke Florida and Florida Power and Light in the Gainesville area, where they’ll likely wait there to see where they will be needed to help out with widespread damage caused by Irma.
