Hurricane Harvey Impacts Gas Prices Across US

Gas prices have been steadily rising this past week due to hurricane Harvey striking a major oil pipeline in Texas.
 
Prices of gas were reported around 2 dollars and 30 cents just a week ago here in bowling green according to gas buddy dot com, But since Harvey made landfall those prices have surged.

The average price here in Bowling Green is now a little over 30 cents higher at around 2 dollars and 65 cents a gallon
 
Now this is not the most expensive we have seen gas prices go in recent years, but this is certainly one of the biggest leaps in just one week
 
The pipeline in Texas is expected to reopen soon and we should see gas prices return to normal shortly after
