The 28th annual Run for Sight 5K took place Monday morning at Covington Woods Park. The races included a 1 mile bubble run for the kids, a 2 mile walk and a 5K run, which is part of the BG3, a race series that helps prepare runners for the BG 26.2 marathon race this fall. The race is put on by the Bowling Green Noon Lions Club and 100 percent of the proceeds benefit eyesight care for children and adults in the Warren County area. This year's 5K race winner tells us she's happy she won, but it's all for a good cause.
"I like supporting local races that are for a great cause. That's a big reason why people put on 5K's to raise money for a cause and they've had this race for so long now that you can really tell the community supports it," said race winner Belle Thomas.
