Zoo Attacker Makes First Court Appearance

Posted: Updated:
Cincinnati, OH -

The man who stabbed a visitor at the Cincinnati Zoo has turned himself in.

40-year-old Malik Abdul-Rah of Nicholasville, Kentucky made his first court appearance Thursday morning. He is accused of wielding a box cutter and causing the injuries of a man at the zoo last week.

Police say several men got into an argument. It does not appear they all knew each other before the fight started. A camera at the zoo snapped a picture, and it's that image that leads police to believe Malik Abdul-Rah is the one who was the actual attacker. Another man involved was arrested earlier this week.
