United Way of Southern Kentucky has a new Director of Community Impact--you may already know her.
Ashley Carter is an active member of Bowling Green's community service, previously serving on the Bowling Green Junior Women's Club board where she still resides as a member, as well as serving as the Marketing Manager with Russell Athletics at Fruit of The Loom for six years.
As United Way's New Director of Community Impact she will lead the development of strategies to achieve community change goals set forth in education, income, health, and safety net, as well as oversee funding, and more.
Carter says she's ready to get to work with the volunteers and continue growing the non-profit's success.
"Going through the interview process in just my short time that I've been here, you can tell that the staff and the volunteers are very passionate and committed to what they're doing to help better the community, so it's a great feeling to be a part of it. I'm really excited."
